Payment is required for E-mail coaching.  E-mail canine coach with a brief description of your concerns and/or issues.  Some behaviors can be resolved with recommended changes, resources and commitment.  I will honestly let you know if I can help online or whether this requires in-person counseling as a more effective approach for your and your dog.

After the first assessment E-mail, you will be required to use PayPal.  We accept checks and/or cash in advance.  You will be asked to fill out a brief behavioral assessment in advance. 

The fee for a series 4-E-mail coaching sessions is $50.00.  Training, learning and behavior change takes time, practice, commitment and a positive attitude.   After 4-sessions, it is usually clear whether or not this approach is helpful.  There are no refunds.

The fee at the sancatuary is $1.00 per minute, $50 an hour.

Private coaching/counseling in your home or organization begins at $2.00 a minute, $100 an hour, plus travel and administrative expensives.

What Happens in a Session -- Being open-minded for positive changes is the beginning

At the training sanctuary or your home, we can help you eliminate, manage and/or modify behaviors that need change.  A confidential evaluation offers:

• A thorough assessment (usually 1-2 hours).

• Subsequent sessions involve a series of 2 to 4 consultations.

• You will be asked to complete a brief behavioral questionnaire before your appointment. 

• All members of the family are encouraged to attend.

• Problem behaviors (and prior approaches in resolving them) will be reviewed.  

Observation

• Your pet and interactions with you (and family members) will be observed during the evaluation.

• Temperament testing is performed when appropriate (i.e. resource guarding).

• Videotaped recordings of problem behavior are encouraged for observation.

• Observing some types of behavior may not be possible, necessary or safe.

Behavior Modification Plan (created for your specific needs)

• A behavioral modification plan will be developed that includes win/win solutions and techniques for you and your dog(s).

• Realistic prognosis for improvement is provided.

• Lifestyle changes may be recommended.

• Additional reading may be recommended and/or provided.  

• Recommendations to a veterinarian with behavioral experience for a complete health and well-ness check and consultation for medication may be advised.  

Follow-Up

• Verbal and written recommendations are provided.  A copy will be sent to your Veterinarian upon request.

• 3-months of brief phone follow-ups and/or emails are included.  

• Treatment recommendations are modified as needed.  There are additional fees after 3-months.  

We are mindful that the process of resolving behavioral problems can be difficult and stressful.  Often it is as simple as understanding the natural instincts of the dog, how behaviors evolve, and then teaching the dog what you expect (behavior shaping).  When behaviors escalate to an intolerable level, create stress or get totally out of control, we can offer you guidance, help you regain perspective, de-stress and make your and your dog's life more manageable.

$2.00 a minute or $100 / Hour (Plus Travel/Admin.  Expenses) at your home or organization
